National Signing Day for CEC Athletes

National Signing Day at CEC

18 Eagles Sign

FAIRLESS HILLS, PA—Eighteen student-athletes at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School announced today they were furthering their educations and athletic careers on the college level, on National Signing Day.

From the football team, Sam Cooper (Levittown) and Cooper Lauersen (Levittown) signed National Letters of Intent to attend Division I Stony Brook University. Gavin Pond (Levittown) will attend Millersville University, Hunter Ginsberg (Levittown) will attend Muhlenberg College and Tim Gipli (Levittown) will attend West Chester University.

Cooper earned All-State, All-Area and All-Philadelphia Catholic League honors.  Lauersen earned All-Area and All-PCL honors. Pond was the Area Defensive Player of the Year while earning All-State and All-PCL honors. Ginsberg and Gipli both earned All-PCL honors.

From the lacrosse team, Kenny Rizzo (Levittown) will attend Georgian Court University, Thomas Cardi (Levittown) will attend Arcadia University and Logan O’Keefe (Levittown) will attend Holy Family University. O’Keefe was a four-year starter and team captain.

From the baseball team Zach Linn (Yardley) will attend Widener University, Braydon Janzer (Langhorne) will attend Cecil (MD) College and Gianni Serenelli (Fairless Hills) will attend Penn State Brandywine.  Linn earned All-PCL honors as a junior and competed in the Carpenter Cup.

From the wrestling team, Jordan Bentley (Bristol) will attend Kings College and Charlie Robson (Bensalem) will attend Delaware Valley University. Bentley and Robson earned All-PCL honors while Robson also placed fourth in the PA States.

From the bowling team, Matt Coppola (Bristol) will attend Midway (KY) University. Coppola was the PCL MVP, bowling a 300 game at the Regional Tournament.

From the girls’ basketball team, Brianna McFadden (Fairless Hills) will attend Gwynedd Mercy University and her twin sister Brooke McFadden (Fairless Hills) will attend The College of New Jersey.  Brianna was a four-year starter and team captain, while Brooke was a second team All-PCL selection as a junior.

From the softball team, Cassidy Blaskopf (Levittown) will attend Elizabethtown College. Blaskopf earned second team All-PCL honors as a junior.

From the soccer team, Noah Kiesewetter (Bristol) will attend Holy Family University. Kiesewetter earned All-PCL honors as both a junior and a senior.
